About the work

One for You moves Waldusky’s practice beyond the surface of the page. The paper is cut, woven and shaped into a cross-like structure, so the drawing becomes something physical, almost object-like.

The lines follow this construction, folding and looping with it. What might read as rhythm is held within the form itself, creating a quiet tension and balance between structure and movement.

Her process remains slow and deliberate. Each line is built up by hand, allowing small variations in pressure and colour to keep the surface alive.

This work sits alongside a companion piece, One for Me, now held in a private collection. Together they explore how drawing can move from something observed into something constructed.

Wine pairing

Rathfinny Rosé (2019 Vintage)

There’s a shared sense of rhythm. The repeated lines in the work build a steady visual movement, echoed in the fine, continuous bubbles of the rosé.

The colour sits closely too. Soft pinks and warm tones reflect the fruit within the wine, creating a natural visual connection.

Both are built through layering and small variations, where the experience unfolds gradually rather than all at once.
