DUNCAN BULLEN

Duncan Bullen’s work sits in a space of quiet discipline, where repetition becomes a way of seeing rather than simply a method. Using simple marks, often dots or lines, he builds surfaces slowly, allowing subtle shifts in tone, density and rhythm to emerge over time.

What appears minimal at first begins to hold a surprising depth. The work draws attention to duration, to looking closely, and to the small variations that sit within repetition. It’s less about image and more about perception, where the act of making and the act of viewing become closely aligned.
